Two tertiary scholarships are available and are designed to recognise and assist Katikati students who have demonstrated artistic talent and potential and who are pursuing a career in the arts.

Students who reside in the Katikati area as defined by the boundaries of the Western Bay of Plenty District Council north of the Wairoa River, are eligible for consideration if studying in an artistic field at tertiary level.

The categories are music, art, drama, design, photography, dance, stage production and film.

Students shortlisted, following the application will be required to attend an interview by appointment, the following week after closing December 7, 2016.

The successful applicants will need to be available to accept the award at the first Twilight Concert to be held on Saturday, January 7 2017, at the Haiku Reserve.

Application forms are available online www.katikaticoncerts.co.nz and at the Katikati College office.
