Are you New Zealand’s next top designer?

If so, TVNZ 2 wants you apply for a starring role in Project Runway New Zealand.

It’s the first local version of the hit US series and will see ambitious Kiwi designers competing against each other in front of a panel of industry judges who are yet to be revealed.

Each week they will compete in difficult challenges to “test resourcefulness and creativity”.

After sending their creation down the catwalk each week, one competitor will face elimination.

The final challenge for the remaining designers will be to create a full collection and from there a standout designer will be crowned the next Kiwi fashion sensation.

Project Runway has been a ratings hit overseas, running for 16 seasons on American screens where it is hosted by Heidi Klum.

Twenty-six other versions have been made around the world, but this will be the first time it has been adapted for a New Zealand audience.
