It does say something about the way society is going if you need a fast food joint to teach you not to bully other people – but here we find ourselves.

“Bullying Jr” is Burger King’s latest PSA and it’s the centrepiece of a campaign to fight bullying.

In the video, which you can watch in its entirety below, Burger King conducts an experiment to see whether customers would speak up about bullying the way they speak up about issues with their food orders.

The results were disheartening.

In the majority of the cases, the same adult that witnessed a child get bullied in the table next to theirs chose to complain about their “bullied” burger only but not say a word about what interaction they had witnessed.

When Burger King employees “bullied” their burgers, 95 per cent of customers complained about the state of their sandwich.

However, only 12 per cent took a stand to defend the child they’d seen getting bullied.

The video, released on October 17, has been viewed more than 3 million times.
